This glamorous star’s regular yoga practice is backed up by a sensible diet. She does not shun rich food, but indulges herself sensibly. She eats her fill and performs yoga and other exercises to burn off the calories and maintain a slim figure. For breakfast, Shilpa eats fresh organic food and drinks fresh juices. She avoids frozen foods as much as possible. When eating out, Shilpa opts for Japanese or Chinese foods like seaweed salad and sashimi. She avoids carbonated soda drinks as they dehydrate the body and wrinkle the skin.

It is no wonder that Shilpa looks much younger than her actual age. Shilpa says yoga is a holistic management system that has impacted her life in a spectacular fashion. In her DVD, Shilpa gives instructions on how to use yoga to improve digestion, circulation, weight loss, vitality and energy, while releasing tension and stress. The video was shot in the picturesque land of Kerala. Shilpa demonstrates specific sequences to improve flexibility, agility and concentration. She shows how to correctly perform poses that exercise the shoulders and neck, stomach and the back.

In the DVD, a special section is devoted to practicing the technique of correct breathing. Shilpa says regular pranayama practice improves our breathing pattern. Many problems are caused by breathing wrongly. In fact, when we breathe wrongly, we can’t feel and think right.
