Sivananda Hatha Yoga
  • Sivananda yoga holds five-point philosophy of yoga. They are positive thinking and meditation, vegetarian diet, deep relaxation, breathing exercise and lastly proper exercise.
  • Sivananda yoga is made to heighten and lure together all points of human capability.
  • The human capability would include body, mind, heart and intellect.
  • Similar to standard format of yoga classes, SIvananda yoga classes include a series of twelve asanas, pranayama (breathing exercises), relaxation and mantra chanting.
Viniyoga
  • Sri T. Krishnamacharaya is the creator of viniyoga.
  • Viniyoga is founded on the norm of vinyasa-krama (sequential process).
  • Poses of viniyoga are coordinated to get along together with the pace of pranayama (yoga breathing technique. Therefore, both inhalation and exhalation are expressed in varying spans and ratios.
  • The individual need, abilities and capabilities are well thought-out more important than form and execution.
  • Poses are personalized according to the student’s physical needs and limits.
  • The physical needs and limits would be emotional needs, body type, cultural heritage and interest.
