Warrior II Pose (also known as Virabhadrasana II)
The steps to perform warrior II pose are as follows:

  • Spread a blanket or yoga mat on the floor
  • Spread your legs wide
  • Turn your left foot inside around 60 degrees
  • Turn your right foot outside approximately at 90 degrees
  • Bend your right knee to a 90 degrees angle
  • Extend your right arms out to the front and your left arm behind
  • Look toward your fingertips
  • Reverse your position

  • Begin in warrior I position (take a look into our previous article about warrior I pose)
  • With your back right foot, take a small step forward
  • Keep your balance on your left foot
  • Interlace your hands together
  • Index both your fingers and thumbs together
  • Extend your arms and hands out to the front
  • Lift and extend your right leg straight to behind
  • You may put your arms at your side
  • Reverse your position
