  • Spread a blanket or yoga mat on the floor
  • Begin seated and make your legs extended
  • Bend your left knee
  • Place your foot over your opposite leg
  • Take your opposite foot in to your buttocks
  • Cross your right elbow to your left knee and leverage back
  • Reverse your position

Side Angle Pose (also known as Parsvakonasana)
The steps to perform side angle pose are as follows:
Side Angle Pose

  • Spread a blanket or a yoga mat on the floor
  • Begin with your legs 3.5 to 4 feet apart on the blanket/mat
  • Turn your left foot about 60 degrees, and extend your right foot out straight
  • Bend your right knee around 90 degrees angle
  • Bring both arm and elbow either down to your right knee or down to the outside of your right ankle
  • Extend your left arm up over your head
  • Reverse your position
