Hatha yoga has a huge set of poses in built. So, practicing the poses is based on the ability, experience and requirements of each individual. However, Hatha yoga poses are divided into different sections such as relaxation poses, standing poses, sitting poses and balancing poses.

Except for the relaxation poses, rest of them should be practiced under the supervision of a trained tutor or guru until you become familiar with hatha yoga poses. The whole practice can take anywhere between 60 to 90 minutes.

Relaxation Poses of Hatha Yoga
Thadasana and Sun Salutations are supposed to be the basic level asanas practiced during hatha yoga practice. The benefits of relaxation poses include:

Final Relaxation
Savasana or Corpse pose has to practiced for 10 to 15 minutes.

  1. Between yoga and general stretching, I think my mobility has improved drastically from just a year ago. My back no longer aches at the end of the day and I sleep so much better.
