Kundalini Yoga has evoked quite some curiosity from people who have the basic understanding of Yoga. In the ancient times people referred to Kundalini as the serpent power. The word Kundalini is derived from the Sanskrit word Kundal that means the ‘lock of hair removed from your beloved’. It is said the coiling of this hair strand is the awakening of the Kundalini that is the unlimited potential of the human being.

That mustn’t have made much sense to you. Lets understand it this way. There is a universal spirit in the world; most of us refer to this as GOD in our own language and religious understanding. When God, uncoils himself, this process is known as Kundalini. The universal spirit that is a part of you as your soul or your self also uncoils and thus there is an awakening of you. So with Kundalini yoga you will be making use of your true potential.

Kundalini Yoga is not a very complicated form of yoga. It encompasses most of the aspects of the traditional yoga.
